I like to color code my folders to keep organized, and I like a little more flexibility than what the colored file labels in OSX can offer.

Changing a folder icon using Finder:
- Right click one of the colored folders, and select Get Info (or highlight a folder and hit ⌘I)
- In the pop-up window, click the folder's icon in the top left
- Press ⌘C
- Repeat steps 1 & 2 for the folder whose icon you want to change. But instead of copying its icon as in step 3, press ⌘V instead.

I've found it is harder to change folder icons in OS X El Capitan. It used to be so easy!
I used to use FolderBrander, but I now have to load icons one by one into FolderBrander. I don't know why I can't just select to import all icons in a folder.
Should I use .icns or .png for OS X. I know, I'm a complete newb about this. Sorry.
Thanks anyway!
For those who aren't sure how to use these great files, here are the steps:
1. Find the folder you want to change the color of, select it and "Get Info" from right clicking on it.
Notice that at the top of the Get Info window, there is a small view of the icon for the folder. This image can be modified. The next steps are to make that happen.
2. From the downloaded set from this site, open (i.e., double-click) one of the folders of files, based upon the color you want to make your folder (e.g., Maraschino), and see the option of files within it.
3. You want to use the file with the .icns extension.
4. Drag the file with the .icns extension and drop it onto the folder icon image at the top in the Get Info window for the folder you selected in Step 1. You should see a + appear when you are over the icon image, and when you let go, the icon changes to the one you selected from Step 3.

And if they're in .icn,
Could you please port them to .png?
